Heusinkveld · One · Wireless sim racing wheel

Heusinkveld One Sim Racing Steering WheelUltra-light, wireless and shaped around your hands.

The One is the first steering wheel from Heusinkveld, the Dutch engineering company behind the Sprint and Ultimate+ load cell pedals. Its fibre-reinforced composite body weighs just 1024 grams, so your direct drive wheelbase has less inertia to fight and more force feedback detail reaches your hands.

Every control sits within reach of your thumbs: 14 buttons, four push rotaries, two 7-way switches, 2-way magnetic shift paddles and dual clutch paddles. It connects to your PC through its own low-latency wireless dongle, runs for around 60 hours per charge with the telemetry LEDs on, and bolts to most quick releases through its integrated 50.8mm hub.

Player1 Sim Gear is an authorised Australian Heusinkveld dealer. Prices are in AUD and include GST, with warranty support handled locally from Queensland.

Why the One

Built for control, not for show

Add lightness

At 1024 grams, the composite body keeps inertia low so your wheelbase reacts faster and you feel more of the road and tyre detail.

Shaped to support your hands

Grips with a large contact patch and fewer pressure points, plus paddles without sharp edges, keep long stints comfortable.

Every input at your thumbs

14 buttons, four push rotaries with grippy caps and two 7-way multifunction switches, all reachable without taking a hand off the rim.

2-way magnetic shifter paddles

Push and pull both paddles for separate outputs. Soft to push, firm to pull, and the paddle length adjusts by hand.

Dual clutch with bite point

Two clutch paddles on separate or combined axes, with an output curve and bite-point limit per paddle for clean race starts.

Wireless, with long battery life

Heusinkveld's own low-latency wireless protocol, a pre-paired USB-A dongle and no wire clutter.

What makes the One different

Heusinkveld One steering wheel in matte black composite on a dark background

Low weight, low inertia

Heusinkveld built the One from high-end fibre-reinforced composites, which gave them freedom of form without adding mass. The finished wheel weighs 1024 grams.

A lighter wheel means less rotating mass for your direct drive base to accelerate and stop, so small force feedback cues such as kerbs, slip and tyre load come through more clearly.

Comfort reimagined

Heusinkveld set out to design for ergonomics rather than copy a real race car wheel. The grips are shaped to support your hands with a large contact patch, and there are no sharp edges on the paddles.

Your thumbs rest naturally beside the button grids, which matters most in endurance races and long practice sessions.

Maximum control, maximum button access

Two grids of five thumb buttons, four panel buttons, four push rotaries you can scroll, swipe or press, and two 7-way switches with rubberised centres.

Using the function layer and short or long presses in SmartControl, each physical input can carry up to four outputs, which gives you more than 100 assignable commands.

Heusinkveld One side view showing the 2-way shifter paddle and clutch paddle

2-way shift paddles and dual clutch

The magnetic shift paddles work in both directions, so a push and a pull can be mapped to different functions. Pull the end flap outwards to lengthen a paddle, no tools needed.

The two clutch paddles output to separate axes by default, or one combined axis. Set a different maximum on each paddle to hold the perfect bite point off the line.

Easy wireless compatibility

The wheel talks to your PC through a pre-paired USB-A dongle using Heusinkveld's own ultra low-latency wireless protocol. No drivers are needed and there is no cable through the wheelbase.

Because the inputs go straight to the PC, the One does not rely on your wheelbase's wheel-side electronics, which is why it suits most bases. Charge it by USB-C, around 1 hour 45 minutes from a 1.45A port, and the wheel switches itself off when idle.

9 RGB telemetry LEDs

Nine configurable RGB LEDs in the centre panel show RPM, flags and TC or ABS activity where the sim supports it. SimHub supports the One natively, with tailored profiles for many titles and cars.

LED brightness is adjustable, and the illuminated H logo can be dimmed or switched off. With the telemetry and logo LEDs off, Heusinkveld quotes months of racing between charges.

Engineered in the Netherlands

Form follows function

Heusinkveld Engineering is based in Groningen, the Netherlands, where it engineers its sim racing hardware. After years of making some of the most respected load cell pedals, shifters and handbrakes in sim racing, the One is the company's first steering wheel.

It is designed for professional driver training, esports, commercial and home use, and suits Formula cars, GT cars and endurance prototypes.

Mounting and compatibility

Which wheelbases does it fit?

Rear of the Heusinkveld One showing the 50.8mm threaded hub with six brass inserts

Integrated 50.8mm threaded hub

The back of the One carries a 50.8mm threaded hub with six equally spaced inserts at 60 degrees. Any quick release that bolts directly to a 50.8mm pattern mounts straight on, using the M5 bolts supplied.

For a 70mm quick release, or a QR that cannot bolt to 50.8mm, Heusinkveld offers an optional Steering Wheel Adapter (HE-SW-ADAPT) that converts the hub to 70mm and adds only 15mm of depth. Not sure which you need? Send us your wheelbase and quick release and we will check it.

Setup Works with the One? Notes
Quick release with a 50.8mm bolt pattern Yes, direct Bolts straight to the integrated hub with the supplied M5 bolts.
Quick release with a 70mm pattern Yes, with adapter Needs the optional Heusinkveld Steering Wheel Adapter (HE-SW-ADAPT), 15mm deep.
Direct drive wheelbases Most Mechanical fit depends on the quick release. Popular choices include Simucube, Simagic, MOZA, Conspit, Asetek and Fanatec bases.
PC simulators Yes Plug and play through the wireless dongle. SmartControl and SimHub for configuration.
Xbox and PlayStation No Heusinkveld states the One does not work correctly with consoles.

Compatibility is based on Heusinkveld's published mounting information. Quick release bolt patterns vary between brands and generations, so confirm your QR's wheel-side pattern before ordering, or call us on 0488 385 870 and we will confirm it for you.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the Heusinkveld One?

The One is Heusinkveld's first sim racing steering wheel. It is a wireless, Formula-inspired wheel with a 1024 gram composite body, 14 buttons, four push rotaries, two 7-way switches, 2-way magnetic shift paddles, dual clutch paddles and nine RGB telemetry LEDs.

How much does the Heusinkveld One weigh?

1024 grams. The low weight and low inertia help your wheelbase respond faster and pass on more force feedback detail.

Which wheelbases is the Heusinkveld One compatible with?

Most of them. The One has an integrated 50.8mm threaded hub, so it fits any quick release that bolts to a 50.8mm pattern, and Heusinkveld's optional adapter converts it to 70mm. Because it connects wirelessly to the PC, it does not need your wheelbase's wheel-side electronics. That covers popular Simucube, Simagic, MOZA, Fanatec and Conspit bases, subject to the quick release you use.

Do I need an adapter for a 70mm quick release?

Yes. For a 70mm quick release, or one that cannot bolt to a 50.8mm pattern, Heusinkveld recommends its Steering Wheel Adapter (HE-SW-ADAPT). It converts the hub to 70mm with only 15mm of extra depth. Ask us about availability.

Does a quick release come with the wheel?

No. The One ships with M5 bolts to attach your own quick release, which lets you match it to your wheelbase. Tell us your base and we will recommend the right QR.

Does the Heusinkveld One work on Xbox or PlayStation?

No. Heusinkveld designed it for PC-based simulators and states it does not work correctly with consoles such as Xbox or PlayStation.

How does the wireless connection work?

A USB-A dongle plugs into your PC and connects to the wheel using Heusinkveld's own low-latency wireless protocol. The dongle comes pre-paired, no drivers are needed, and pressing any button wakes the wheel and reconnects it.

How long does the battery last?

The 2800mAh battery lasts around 60 hours of driving with the telemetry LEDs active. With the telemetry and logo LEDs switched off, Heusinkveld says you can race for months between charges. A red indicator lights below 10 percent and blinks below 5 percent, which still leaves a few hours.

How do I charge it, and can I race while it charges?

Charge it with the supplied USB-C cable. It takes about 1 hour 45 minutes from a 5V 1.45A port, or around 5 hours from a 5V 0.5A port. You cannot drive while it is plugged in: the wheel disables its controls during charging to protect the cable and connector.

What do I need to do before first use?

The wheel ships in transport mode. Plug a powered USB-C cable into the port on the bottom of the wheel to activate it, insert the dongle into your PC, then press any button to connect. Remove the cable before you start racing.

Can I change the button layout?

Yes. The 14 button caps can be swapped between positions using the supplied Torx 10 tool, and 10 extra caps come in the box, 24 in total. Paddle length is adjustable by hand.

How many functions can I map?

Every button, rotary and switch output is freely configurable in SmartControl. Combining the function layer with short and long presses gives up to four outputs per physical input, more than 100 in total.

How do the dual clutch paddles and bite point work?

By default each clutch paddle has its own axis, or you can combine them into one. You can set an output curve and maximum for each paddle, for example 60 percent on the left and 100 percent on the right, so releasing one paddle drops you exactly to the bite point on a race start.

Does it work with SimHub?

Yes. SimHub supports the One natively and drives its nine RGB telemetry LEDs for RPM, flags and TC or ABS activity, with tailored profiles for many titles and generic profiles for almost all others. SimHub is third-party software with a free version.

Will it suit Formula and GT cars?

Yes. Heusinkveld lists it for Formula cars, GT cars and endurance prototypes. The compact 270mm grip diameter and dense button layout suit open-wheel and closed-wheel racing alike.

What pedals pair well with the One?

Heusinkveld's own load cell pedals are the natural match: the Sprint for a strong mid-range setup or the Ultimate+ for the full hydraulic-damped experience. Both run on the same SmartControl software. Browse all Heusinkveld gear.

What warranty does it have in Australia?
