Sim Racing Pedals Australia
Pedals are where most sim racers gain the most lap time. A precise load cell brake transforms trail braking from a guess into a repeatable skill. Step up to hydraulic damping and the car starts to feel like a real racing machine underfoot. At the top end, active pedal technology feeds force feedback and real-world effects directly through the pedal itself.
At Player1 Sim Gear, we stock pedals from Simagic, Conspit, MOZA, Logitech, Heusinkveld, and Simucube. From your first load cell upgrade through to a full active pedal setup, we carry the range and have the knowledge to point you at the right hardware for your budget and the way you drive. All prices in AUD, GST included. Warranty and support handled locally in Queensland.

Potentiometer to Active: What Pedal Technology Actually Means
Potentiometer Pedals
Measure pedal position by travel distance using a rotating sensor. The brake feels like a throttle: push further to brake harder. Fine for casual racing but inconsistent because slight position changes from session to session alter your brake point.
Examples: Logitech G29, G923 included pedals
Load Cell Pedals
Measure pedal pressure (force applied) rather than travel. The brake responds to how hard you push, exactly like a real race car. Consistency improves dramatically because your muscle memory locks onto force, not foot position. This is the upgrade that changes most drivers.
Examples: Heusinkveld Sprint, MOZA CRP2, Simagic P500/P1000, Conspit CPP Lite
Hydraulic Pedals
Add a hydraulic damper to the load cell mechanism, giving you the two-stage feel of a real brake: initial travel through fluid resistance, then a firm stop against the load cell. Significantly more realistic than rubber elastomers alone. Requires a solid rig mount to handle the force.
Examples: Heusinkveld Ultimate+, Simagic P2000, Conspit CPP EVO
Active Pedals
A motorised actuator replaces all passive elements. The pedal pushes back with variable, software- controlled resistance that changes in real time. Switch between GT, formula, and road car profiles with one click. ABS, traction loss, and brake fade feedback delivered through the pedal itself. No wearing parts, no maintenance, no mechanical adjustments.
Examples: Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate, Simucube ActivePedal Pro, MOZA mBooster

Widest Pedal Range Available
Simagic offer the most comprehensive pedal lineup in the market, from the entry P500 load cell set through to the flagship P2000 full hydraulic range at motorsport level. The P-HPR Haptic Reactor add-on upgrades P500, P700, P1000, and P2000 pedals with SimHub-compatible linear haptic motors, adding tactile feedback without replacing the pedal set. The P1000i adds an inverted mounting option for drivers who prefer a formula-style pedal position.
- Widest range: P500, P700, P1000, P1000i, P2000 hydraulic
- P-HPR Haptic Reactor: SimHub-compatible linear haptic add-on for any Simagic set
- P2000 full hydraulic: 100kg and 200kg load cell variants, short and long travel
- P1000i inverted mounting available
- PC only, no console support
- P2000 accessory ecosystem is extensive but can get complex
Hydraulic Haptic at Accessible Price
Conspit's CPP pedal range is notable for combining hydraulic damping with haptic feedback at a price point that undercuts most of the competition. The CPP Lite is hydraulic and haptic out of the box, with SimHub-compatible haptics built into the brake pedal. The CPP EVO flagship adds a more advanced hydraulic system and adjustability. Strong value for drivers who want the hydraulic feel without committing to Heusinkveld or Simagic P2000 pricing.
- CPP Lite: hydraulic and haptic out of the box, competitive pricing
- SimHub-compatible haptic feedback
- CPP EVO flagship: advanced hydraulic, high adjustability
- Endorsed by Yifei Ye, 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours Champion
- PC only, no console support
- Smaller brand footprint than Simagic or Heusinkveld
Load Cell to Active in One Ecosystem
MOZA cover a wide technology range within their pedal lineup. The SR-P and CRP2 are their load cell options: the CRP2 uses aerospace-grade aluminium with a carbon fibre heel plate and is a strong mid-tier choice. At the top end, the mBooster Active Pedal brings motorised force feedback to the MOZA ecosystem, positioning MOZA as one of only two brands offering active pedal technology alongside Simucube.
- SR-P and CRP2: strong load cell options from entry to mid-tier
- mBooster Active Pedal: motorised force feedback, direct competitor to Simucube ActivePedal
- CRP2: aerospace aluminium and carbon fibre heel plate
- PC only, no console support for load cell or active pedals
- mBooster is newer to market: less ecosystem maturity vs Simucube ActivePedal
Entry Level, Console Compatible
Logitech pedals ship as part of the G29 and G923 all-in-one bundles and are the starting point for most Australian sim racers. They use a potentiometer-based brake which measures travel rather than force. Fully functional and easy to use, they are the right choice for drivers on console or those starting out. When you are ready to upgrade to a dedicated load cell pedal set, the rest of your investment in a direct drive setup carries forward.
- Included with G29 and G923 bundles, no separate purchase
- PC, PlayStation, and Xbox compatible
- Plug and play, no driver installation required
- Potentiometer brake: travel-based, lower consistency than load cell
- Not sold as standalone pedals, bundle only
- Clear upgrade path to dedicated load cell pedals when ready
Pedal Upgrades: Haptic and Hydraulic Add-Ons
You do not always need to replace your pedals to take them to the next level. Several brands offer upgrade kits that add haptic feedback or hydraulic damping to pedal sets you already own. Here is how the upgrade ecosystem breaks down across our key brands.
| Upgrade Type | Brand | Compatible Pedals | What It Does | Key Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Haptic Pedal Reactor (P-HPR) | Simagic | P500, P700, P1000, P1000i, P2000, TB-RS Handbrake | Adds a patented linear haptic motor per pedal. Integrates with SimHub and SimPro Manager to deliver ABS, traction loss, wheel slip, engine RPM, and surface vibration directly through the pedal. | One P-HPR per pedal position. Requires one Simagic Power Supply (P-APS) per set. Linear motor design is significantly more reactive than a rotary rumble motor. |
| Hydraulic Brake System (P-HYS) | Simagic | P1000 (standard) | Replaces the P1000 elastomer brake stack with a hydraulic damper system. Adds a two-stage brake feel: initial travel through fluid resistance, then a firm load cell stop. Closely mimics a real race car brake master cylinder. | P-HYS for standard P1000 only. P-HYSi is the separate variant for P1000i inverted pedals. Can also be purchased pre-installed as the P1000-FRS variant. Occasional maintenance required to check fluid. |
| Hydraulic Brake System (P-HYSi) | Simagic | P1000i (inverted) | Same hydraulic brake upgrade as P-HYS but engineered specifically for the inverted P1000i configuration to prevent fluid leakage in the inverted position. | Inverted P1000i owners must use P-HYSi specifically. Standard P-HYS is not compatible. |
| Elastomer and Spring Upgrade Kit (P-ORP) | Simagic | P1000, P1000i | Replacement elastomer and spring sets for the P1000 brake. Allows tuning of brake firmness and feel without the full hydraulic upgrade. P-ORP(H) variant is specifically for use with the P-HYS hydraulic system. | P-ORP for standard P1000. P-ORP(H) for P1000 with hydraulic. Do not mix variants. |
| Haptic included as standard | Conspit | CPP Lite, CPP EVO | Conspit's CPP Lite and CPP EVO include haptic feedback built into the pedal set out of the box. No additional purchase required. SimHub compatible. | No separate upgrade needed. The haptic system is part of the base product. This is the key advantage of CPP Lite vs comparable Simagic sets which require the P-HPR add-on for haptics. |
| Hydraulic included as standard | Conspit | CPP Lite, CPP EVO | Both CPP Lite and CPP EVO ship with hydraulic damping on the brake pedal as standard. No upgrade kit required. | Total cost of ownership advantage over Simagic P1000 with separate P-HYS upgrade. CPP Lite is the most accessible entry into hydraulic haptic pedals in the range. |
Specialist Pedal Manufacturers
These brands make pedals exclusively. No wheelbases, no wheels, just a relentless focus on building the most accurate and realistic pedal hardware available. If you are running a high-end direct drive setup and want the best pedals to match it, these are the names to look at.
Heusinkveld
Heusinkveld are the benchmark that everything else in the load cell pedal market is measured against. The Sprint has been the gold standard for entry-to-mid load cell pedals for years and it holds that position. The Ultimate+ is a full hydraulic and load cell setup used by professional racing drivers and esports teams, including Team Redline. CNC precision laser-cut steel throughout, mathematically modelled load cells, and SmartControl software that saves calibration directly to the pedals themselves so your exact settings carry across every sim title and session.
- Sprint: gold standard load cell pedals, 120kg load cell, 6 brake firmness settings
- Ultimate+: full hydraulic and load cell, 200kg load cell, used by professional drivers
- Calibration saved on-pedal: settings persist across all sim titles without recalibration
- SmartControl Live: adjust settings while driving without leaving the sim
- Compatible with Simucube ActivePedal via dedicated connector cable
- Tested to 1 million duty cycles: built to last years without wear
- Requires a solid frame rig, not suitable for wheel stands
- PC only, no console support

Simucube ActivePedal Range
The Simucube ActivePedal is not a passive pedal with extra features. It is a fully motorised actuator that defines every aspect of pedal feel through software, with no springs, elastomers, or hydraulic fluid anywhere in the design. The pedal pushes back against your foot with motorised resistance that changes in real time from telemetry. ABS activating? You feel it through the pedal. Traction loss, brake fade, engine RPM: all delivered directly underfoot. There are over 50 adjustable parameters, all set from the cockpit without leaving the sim. Nothing wears out, nothing needs servicing. Simucube offer the full pedal ecosystem to complement it.
ActivePedal Ultimate
The flagship. Motorised force up to 1,700N (170kg) at the pedal plate, 79mm of adjustable travel, and a 5-year warranty. Includes the full suite of telemetry effects: ABS, traction control, G-force, RPM feedback, and brake fade simulation. The primary set includes the Simucube Link Hub.
ActivePedal Pro
The more accessible entry into active pedal technology. Motorised force up to 1,100N (110kg), 65mm of adjustable travel, and a 3-year warranty. Same core software and effect system as the Ultimate. For most sim racers the Pro delivers more than enough force and is the practical choice. Requires a Simucube Link Hub (sold separately or included in select bundles).
Simucube Throttle
A passive load cell throttle pedal designed as the companion to the ActivePedal brake. Precise, well-built, and managed through the same Simucube Tuner software as the ActivePedal. Cleaner than pairing the ActivePedal with a mismatched third-party throttle.
Simucube Co-Pedal
The Co-Pedal is Simucube's answer to the clutch question. It is a passive 2-in-1 pedal that can be configured as either a throttle or clutch using Simucube's patent-pending Arc technology. Rather than a load cell measuring force, it uses a precision Hall angle sensor measuring pedal position, inspired by motorsport drive-by-wire systems. The two Arc profiles (linear for throttle, S-curve engagement profile for clutch) swap in minutes with the included tools. Connect via the EXT port on any ActivePedal Pro or Ultimate. If you want both a throttle and a clutch, two Co-Pedals are required. This is the first time Simucube has offered a native clutch option, and it is the cleanest way to build a full three-pedal Simucube setup.
- Fully motorised ActivePedal: no wearing parts, no maintenance ever
- Real-time ABS, traction control, G-force, RPM, and brake fade through the pedal
- Switch between car profiles instantly with no mechanical adjustment
- Ultimate: 1,700N max force, 5-year warranty; Pro: 1,100N, 3-year warranty
- 50+ adjustable parameters, all set from inside the cockpit
- Co-Pedal: 2-in-1 throttle/clutch with Hall angle sensor and Arc technology
- Compatible with Heusinkveld throttle and clutch via dedicated connector cable
- Premium price: most expensive pedal technology available
- ActivePedal requires Simucube Link Hub to operate
- Co-Pedal requires at least one ActivePedal Pro or Ultimate to function
- PC only, no console support

All Pedals Work With Your Favourite Sims
Sim Racing Pedal Questions, Answered
Common questions from Australian sim racers choosing or upgrading their pedal setup.
What is a load cell pedal and why does it matter for sim racing?
A load cell pedal measures the force you apply to the brake rather than how far the pedal travels. In a real race car, the brake pedal barely moves: you modulate braking through how hard you push, not how far. Potentiometer pedals (included with most entry-level bundles) measure travel, which means small variations in your foot position change your brake output even if you push with identical force. A load cell eliminates that inconsistency. Your muscle memory locks onto force, and the pedal output matches it exactly session after session. Most drivers notice the difference within a few laps: trail braking becomes more precise, and brake point consistency improves significantly. In the range we stock, the Heusinkveld Sprint, Simagic P500 and above, MOZA CRP2, and Conspit CPP range all use load cell technology.
What is the difference between load cell and hydraulic sim racing pedals?
A load cell pedal measures braking force using a strain gauge sensor. The resistance you feel when pressing the pedal comes from elastomers (rubber springs) that compress against the load cell. A hydraulic pedal adds a fluid-filled damper to that mechanism, giving you a two-stage feel: initial travel through hydraulic resistance as the fluid moves, followed by a firm stop. This is very close to how a real racing brake master cylinder feels under foot. Hydraulic pedals are generally more expensive, require a solid rig mount, and need occasional maintenance to check the damper fluid. For most sim racers, a quality load cell set like the Heusinkveld Sprint delivers excellent performance. Hydraulic is the next step if you want the closest possible feeling to a real racing car.
What is an active pedal and is the Simucube ActivePedal worth the cost?
An active pedal replaces all passive mechanical elements with a motorised actuator. Instead of springs or hydraulic fluid, an electric motor controls the resistance you feel, and that resistance changes in real time based on telemetry data from the sim. The Simucube ActivePedal is the most developed product in this category. You can switch between a GT3 brake profile and a Formula profile with one click, without touching the hardware. ABS activation is felt directly through the pedal as the sim fires it. Brake fade can be simulated. Nothing wears out, nothing needs servicing. Whether it is worth the cost depends on your priorities. For professional sim racers and drivers using simulation for real racing development, the feedback and consistency advantages are clear. For most enthusiast sim racers, a Heusinkveld Ultimate+ or Simagic P2000 hydraulic set delivers excellent performance at a fraction of the price. We are happy to talk through the comparison based on what you race and what you are currently running.
Are Heusinkveld pedals worth the money in Australia?
Heusinkveld pedals consistently sit at the top of independent buyer's guides and long-term reviews for a reason. The Sprint has held the "best load cell pedal" position for years because the engineering is done properly: mathematically modelled load cells, steel construction throughout, and a calibration system that saves your settings directly to the pedal hardware rather than to a software profile. That last point matters more than it sounds: if you reinstall your sim, switch to a new title, or recalibrate your wheel, your pedal calibration stays exactly where you left it. The Ultimate+ adds full hydraulic damping and a 200kg load cell for drivers who want the most realistic pedal feel short of active technology. We stock both the Sprint and Ultimate+ in Australia with local warranty and support. For most sim racers, the Sprint is the most impactful single hardware upgrade they can make.
What are the best sim racing pedals for Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC)?
ACC rewards consistent trail braking, which means any quality load cell pedal will improve your lap times compared to a potentiometer set. The Heusinkveld Sprint is a natural match for ACC and is the most commonly recommended pedal in the ACC community. If you want haptic feedback alongside your pedal inputs, the Simagic P1000 with the P-HPR Haptic Reactor add-on gives you SimHub-compatible vibration through the pedal in response to kerbs, ABS, and surface changes. The Conspit CPP Lite delivers the same haptic experience with hydraulic damping at a competitive price point. At the top end, the Simucube ActivePedal has confirmed ACC support for its telemetry effect system, giving you genuine ABS feedback through the pedal when wheels lock.
Do I need hydraulic pedals for sim racing, or is a load cell enough?
For the vast majority of sim racers, a quality load cell pedal is the right answer. The step from potentiometer to load cell is where most of the lap time improvement happens. Hydraulic damping adds a more realistic feel, but the performance improvement over a well-set-up load cell is smaller than the price difference suggests. Where hydraulic makes a genuine difference is for drivers who have already maximised their performance on load cell pedals and want the closest-to-real feeling, or for drivers who race in the real world and want their sim setup to match what they feel in the car. The Heusinkveld Sprint is a better investment than a budget hydraulic set. Once you are at the Sprint level and looking for more, then hydraulic (Ultimate+, Simagic P2000, Conspit CPP EVO) is the natural next step.
Can I use Heusinkveld pedals with a Simucube ActivePedal?
Yes. Simucube make a dedicated connector cable specifically for integrating Heusinkveld Sprint, Ultimate+, and other Heusinkveld pedals with the ActivePedal system. The most common setup is to use the Simucube ActivePedal as your brake and keep your Heusinkveld throttle and clutch, managing all three pedals from within the Simucube Tuner software. You will need one connector per additional Heusinkveld pedal connected to the system. We stock the Simucube ActivePedal Connector for Heusinkveld Pedals, and also offer a dedicated Heusinkveld Ultimate+ Throttle and Clutch add-on bundle pre-packaged with the connectors included.
What is the Simucube Co-Pedal and how does it work?
The Simucube Co-Pedal is a passive 2-in-1 pedal designed to complement the ActivePedal as either a throttle or clutch. Rather than using a load cell to measure force, it uses a precision Hall angle sensor to measure pedal position, inspired by motorsport drive-by-wire systems. This eliminates dead zones and delivers smooth, consistent input across the full pedal travel. The key innovation is Simucube's patent-pending Arc technology: two interchangeable Arc profiles (linear curve for throttle, S-curve engagement profile for clutch) physically transform the pedal's character. Swapping between them takes a couple of minutes with the included tools. The Co-Pedal connects via the EXT port on a Simucube ActivePedal Pro or Ultimate and is managed within Simucube Tuner alongside the active pedal. If you want both a throttle and a clutch, you need two Co-Pedals. It is the cleanest way to build a complete three-pedal Simucube setup without mixing in third-party hardware.
What is the difference between the Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate and Pro?
Both the Ultimate and Pro are fully active motorised pedals with the same core software and effect system. The differences are force output, travel range, and warranty. The Ultimate delivers up to 1,700N (170kg) of maximum force with 79mm of adjustable travel and a 5-year warranty. It includes the Simucube Link Hub in the primary set. The Pro delivers up to 1,100N (110kg) with 65mm of travel and a 3-year warranty. The Link Hub is sold separately or included in select bundles. For most sim racers the Pro is the practical choice. The Ultimate is for drivers who want the absolute maximum force fidelity or who are using the pedal for professional driver training at very high force settings. Both are compatible with the Co-Pedal, Simucube Throttle, and Heusinkveld throttle and clutch via the dedicated connector cable.
What haptic pedal upgrades are available for Simagic pedals?
Simagic offer the P-HPR Haptic Pedal Reactor as an add-on for P500, P700, P1000, P1000i, and P2000 pedal sets. The P-HPR uses a patented linear motor that physically moves to deliver precise haptic effects, significantly more reactive than a traditional rotary rumble motor. It integrates with SimHub, giving access to a large library of community profiles covering ABS, wheel slip, traction control, engine vibration, and kerb impacts. Effects can also be tuned in Simagic's SimPro Manager. One P-HPR unit is needed per pedal position. A single Simagic Power Supply (P-APS) powers all units in the set. This is the recommended path if you already own a Simagic load cell pedal set and want to add haptic feedback without replacing the whole setup.
Can I add hydraulic braking to a Simagic P1000?
Yes. The P-HYS Hydraulic Brake System is a direct add-on for the P1000, replacing the standard elastomer and pressure pad stack with a hydraulic and elastomer combination that mimics a real race car brake master cylinder: initial travel through hydraulic resistance, then a firm stop. The P-HYS is for the standard upright P1000 only. The P1000i inverted configuration requires the P-HYSi variant specifically, which prevents fluid issues in the inverted position. The P1000 can also be purchased with hydraulic pre-installed as the P1000-FRS variant. The P-ORP(H) elastomer kit is the companion for P1000 owners running the hydraulic system who want to tune the brake resistance profile further.
What is the difference between Conspit CPP Lite haptics and Simagic P-HPR haptics?
Both deliver linear haptic motor feedback through the pedal and both integrate with SimHub. The practical difference is how you get there. Conspit CPP Lite and CPP EVO include hydraulic damping and haptic motors out of the box as part of the base price. No separate purchase or power supply required. The Simagic P1000 ships as a load cell pedal without haptics. To get the same functionality you add the P-HPR Haptic Reactor per pedal position and a P-APS power supply. To also get hydraulic braking you add the P-HYS separately. The total system ends up at a comparable price, but the Conspit path is simpler and includes hydraulic from the start. The P-HPR has a depth advantage in community SimHub profile availability given Simagic's larger installed base. Both are strong. Conspit is the cleaner out-of-box experience; Simagic P1000 with upgrades gives you more flexibility to grow incrementally from a lower starting cost.
Which sim racing pedals have SimHub support in Australia?
SimHub is one of the most widely used sim racing software tools for haptic effects, LED outputs, and dashboard displays. Not all pedals integrate with it natively. In the range we stock, the Simagic P-HPR Haptic Reactor (compatible with P500, P700, P1000, and P2000) supports SimHub and has a large library of community profiles available. The Conspit CPP Lite and CPP EVO have built-in haptic motors with SimHub compatibility out of the box. MOZA, Heusinkveld, and Logitech pedals do not have native SimHub haptic integration. Simucube ActivePedal uses its own Simucube Tuner software for effects rather than SimHub, but offers more advanced telemetry integration than SimHub-based haptics. If SimHub integration is a priority, Simagic with the P-HPR add-on or Conspit CPP are the clearest choices.
Do sim racing pedals work on PlayStation and Xbox?
Most dedicated sim racing pedals are PC-only. Heusinkveld, Simagic, Conspit, MOZA, and Simucube pedals all require a Windows PC and do not support PlayStation or Xbox natively. Logitech G29 and G923 pedals are the exception: they ship as part of bundles with full PC, PlayStation, and Xbox support. If you are racing on console, the Logitech bundle is the right starting point. When you are ready to move to a PC direct drive setup with dedicated pedals, that is when the rest of the range opens up.
What is the best sim racing pedal upgrade path from Logitech?
The most impactful single upgrade from a Logitech G29 or G923 bundle is to a dedicated load cell pedal set. You do not need to change your wheelbase at the same time. Any load cell pedal connects via USB independently of your wheel and works with your existing Logitech setup while you plan a wheelbase upgrade separately. The Heusinkveld Sprint is the most commonly recommended first step: proven, accurate, and built to last for years without wear. The Conspit CPP Lite is a strong alternative if you want hydraulic feel and SimHub haptics included at a competitive price. If your budget is tighter, the Simagic P500 is a capable entry load cell set that gives you a pathway into the Simagic ecosystem with the option to add haptic reactors later. Get in touch and tell us what you race and what rig you are running and we will give you a specific recommendation.
Do I need a full frame rig to use Heusinkveld or hydraulic pedals?
Yes. Load cell and hydraulic pedals generate significant force: the Heusinkveld Sprint handles up to 65kg at the brake pedal and the Ultimate+ up to 140kg. If the pedal mount flexes or the pedal plate moves under that load, it undermines the consistency that load cell technology provides. Wheel stands with a rigid floor mount can work for the Sprint, but a bolted aluminium profile frame is the recommended setup. Heusinkveld and most other specialist pedal manufacturers state clearly that a full frame rig is required. This is not just a warranty caveat: it genuinely affects feel and performance. If you are on a wheel stand and want to upgrade your pedals, upgrading your rig at the same time is worth planning for.
Does Player1 Sim Gear handle warranty for Heusinkveld, Simagic, and Simucube pedals in Australia?
