The Simucube Ecosystem — Engineered to Work as One

Simucube isn't just a wheel base. It's a fully integrated direct drive platform where the base, pedals, wheels and connectivity are all designed to work together, tuned from a single piece of software.

TrueDrive Tuning

Every Simucube base runs TrueDrive, the tuning software that lets you shape force feedback in fine detail, from filters and reconstruction to per-car profiles.

Lightbridge Wireless Wheels

Simucube steering wheels connect through the quick release with no cables and no battery. Clip a wheel on and every button, paddle and encoder just works.

ActivePedal Force Feedback

The ActivePedal replaces springs and elastomers with a motor, so brake force, travel and feel are fully programmable and can change per car from the cockpit.

Link Hub Connectivity

The Link Hub brings your base, pedals and accessories together on a single USB connection to the PC, cutting cable clutter and simplifying your rig.

Quick Release System

Simucube's quick releases and adapters let you swap between Simucube wheels and third-party rims in seconds, on any Simucube base.

Heusinkveld Integration

Add Heusinkveld throttle and clutch add-ons to your ActivePedal for a complete three-pedal set from two of the best names in sim racing.

Not sure how to spec a full Simucube setup? . Our team runs these systems daily and can build a complete base, pedal and wheel package for your rig and budget.

Simucube Australia — Frequently Asked Questions

What is Simucube and who makes it?
Simucube is a premium direct drive sim racing brand made by Granite Devices in Tampere, Finland. It is widely regarded as one of the benchmark direct drive systems for force feedback fidelity, using industrial-grade servo motor technology. The Simucube range covers direct drive wheel bases, the motorised ActivePedal, wireless steering wheels and a full connectivity and quick release ecosystem. Player1 Sim Gear is an authorised Australian dealer, stocking Simucube with local warranty and support.
What is the difference between Simucube 2 and Simucube 3?
Simucube 3 is the new generation of Simucube direct drive, with redesigned servo motors, telemetry-driven feedback and refined internals for smoother, quieter, more detailed force feedback. It comes in Sport (15 Nm), Pro (25 Nm) and Ultimate (35 Nm). Simucube 2, including the proven Simucube 2 Pro R2, remains a superb, well-established direct drive system. Both generations run the same TrueDrive tuning software. If you are unsure which suits you, .
Which Simucube wheel base should I buy?
It comes down to torque and budget. The Simucube 3 Sport (15 Nm) is the entry point into genuine Simucube direct drive, plenty of detail for most drivers. The Simucube 3 Pro (25 Nm) is the sweet spot for most serious sim racers, with strong torque and headroom. The Simucube 3 Ultimate (35 Nm) is the flagship for formula and GT drivers who want maximum force and fidelity. The Simucube 2 Pro R2 (25 Nm) remains a superb value all-rounder. Call us on 0488 385 870 for a recommendation.
What is the Simucube ActivePedal and how is it different from normal pedals?
The Simucube ActivePedal is an active, motorised pedal. Instead of springs and rubber elastomers, it uses a motor to generate braking force, which means the pedal travel, force curve, stiffness and even effects like ABS and lock-up can be programmed and adjusted from your cockpit, and changed per car. It is the most advanced pedal technology available in sim racing, and it is available in Pro and Ultimate versions.
What is the difference between the ActivePedal Pro and Ultimate?
Both are active, fully programmable pedals. The ActivePedal Pro delivers professional-grade active force feedback for enthusiasts and serious racers. The ActivePedal Ultimate steps up to the highest force output and adjustability for professional drivers and the most demanding setups. Both can be expanded into a full pedal set with Simucube co-pedals or Heusinkveld throttle and clutch add-ons. Talk to us about which suits your driving.
Are Simucube steering wheels wireless?
Yes. Simucube's newer steering wheels, including the Valo GT-23, Tahko GT-21 and Savu, use Simucube's Lightbridge connection through the quick release. There are no cables and no batteries to charge, all buttons, paddles and encoders communicate through the quick release the moment you clip the wheel onto the base.
What wheels can I use with a Simucube base?
You can run Simucube's own wireless wheels, and you can run third-party rims from brands like Ascher Racing and Cube Controls using a Simucube quick release and the appropriate adapter. Simucube offers 50.8 mm and 70 mm bolt-pattern adapters, plus the Ascher Racing B24L-SC wireless hub for wiring third-party wheels into the Simucube ecosystem. Ask us and we will confirm the right adapter for your wheel.
What is the Simucube quick release and are adapters available?
The quick release is the mechanism that connects your steering wheel to the base and lets you swap wheels in seconds. Simucube uses its own SQR and SC3 quick release systems, and we stock a full range of adapters, including Link quick releases, SC2 adapters and 50.8 mm / 70 mm wheel-side adapters, so you can mix Simucube and third-party wheels and carry older SC2 gear forward onto newer hardware.
What is the Simucube Link Hub?
The Simucube Link Hub is a connectivity hub that brings your whole rig, wheel base, pedals and accessories, together on a single USB connection to your PC. It reduces cable clutter, simplifies your setup and makes the Simucube ecosystem cleaner and more reliable, and it can be expanded with additional switches as your rig grows.
What software do Simucube bases use?
All Simucube wheel bases use TrueDrive, Simucube's own tuning software. TrueDrive gives you deep control over force feedback, including filters, reconstruction, damping and per-car profiles, so you can dial the feel exactly how you want it. It is free to download and works with every Simucube 2 and Simucube 3 base.
Which cockpits and rigs are Simucube bases compatible with?
Simucube wheel bases use standard side and bottom mounting patterns and bolt to all major aluminium extrusion cockpits, including Trak Racer, Sim-Lab, Next Level Racing and GT Omega. For high-torque bases like the Ultimate (35 Nm), a rigid full cockpit frame is recommended to get the most out of the force feedback. If you are unsure whether your rig suits a Simucube base, contact us before ordering.
Can I use Heusinkveld pedals with the Simucube ActivePedal?
Yes. Simucube makes dedicated add-ons that let you pair Heusinkveld Ultimate+ throttle and clutch units with your ActivePedal, as well as baseplate mounts for Heusinkveld Sprint pedals. This lets you build a complete three-pedal set combining the active brake with proven Heusinkveld throttle and clutch. We stock both brands, so we can supply the whole set from local stock.
Is Simucube good for beginners, or only professionals?
Simucube suits both. The Simucube 3 Sport (15 Nm) is an excellent first direct drive base, smooth, detailed and easy to live with, while the Pro and Ultimate scale up to the torque and fidelity that professional drivers demand. TrueDrive lets you start with gentle settings and build up as your confidence grows. Whatever your level, we can help you set torque and force feedback appropriately for your experience.
